Nationals from countries that do not require a visa to enter Argentina as tourists can apply for a Digital Nomad Visa with the purpose of working remotely.
It allows staying in Argentina for up to 180 days.
There are two ways to apply for it:
I. Apply online for a TIE 24H ( Electronic Entry Processing).
This is usually a faster process, as it is entirely conducted online. If your application has been submitted correctly with all the required documentation, you can expect a resolution within 10/15 business days.
II. Apply for a visa at the Consulate. To do so, send scanned copies of the following documentation via email to visasctoro@mrecic.gov.ar:
1. Visa application form. Complete all fields except for numbers 50 and 51.
2. Scanned copy of your passport, including all pages with stamps or visas. The passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into the country, and at least one blank page (two sides) available.
3. Application note signed, indicating: personal information and independent work activity(ies) that will be carried out while in Argentina
4. Brief Curriculum Vitae stating your experience in the field in which you will be working in, level of studies or training achieved
5. Documents supporting the activity that will be carried out (contract, company endorsement, certifications or receipts of income or fees) and state at least one reference to your occupation.
Additional documentation may be requested.
Once all the documentation is analyzed you will be asked to pay the consular fee to process the visa. Then, a consular interview will be scheduled, and you must attend with the printed visa application, your valid passport, two (2) current photographs of 4x4cm, and any other requested documentation.
To ensure that the visa is granted before the travel date, it is recommended to submit the visa application at least 45 days before the planned travel date. Please note that the visa application will be processed only once you submit all the documentation required.
