Starting January 11, 2024, the Apostille Convention will come into effect for Canada, which implies significant changes in the document legalization procedures.
The following documents must be apostilled:
- Documents issued in Canada to be presented in Argentina.
- Documents issued in Argentina to be presented in Canada.
As of January 11, 2024, the legalization service by the Argentine Consulates in Canada will be discontinued for the vast majority of documents.
The only documents that can still be legalized by the Consulates in Canada are those that fall outside the scope of the Apostille Convention, namely administrative documents directly related to a commercial or customs operation.
